John Banzhaf is a professor at George Washington University. Last Month Banzhaf filed a lawsuit against the Catholic University of America, asserting it discriminates against Muslim students. Banzhaf claims the private Catholic campus does not provide adequate space for Muslim prayer and the Catholic symbols displayed in the empty classrooms where they do pray is incongruous to their religion. Sound a little ridiculous to you? Consider this then; No Muslim students have ever complained about their experiences at CUA and in fact the Muslims who were interviewed have described themselves as well treated and do not feel discriminated against in the least. Those who were asked about Branzhaf’s lawsuit have stated flatly, “he does not represent me”.

Branzhaf himself has admitted that he has received no complaints and has not even spoken to a single Muslim student. He simply decided, after reading a Washington Post article about the unique but largely positive experience of Muslim students at CUA that they must be negatively affected by the largely Catholic influence at this Catholic University. This is what happens when the trial lawyers lobby becomes so powerful and owns the majority of the Democratic Party. Sh_t disturbers like Branzhaf can keep a hobby outside of teaching.

The occupy story has become old and fungal but I enjoyed hearing that the volunteers who are preparing redistributed food for the OWSers are going on a mini strike because the one percent in New York City who are unlucky enough not to have a roof over their head has been muscling in on the redistributive bounty at OWS. It seems the “workers” are angry about working eighteen hour days to provide food for professional homeless people and ex-cons masquerading as protestors. And here I thought the OWS movement was about helping the dispossessed and the homeless. I guess once you go “pro” as homeless you no longer qualify for the perks and benefits that the amateur homeless get.

Recent news stories that disturb me greatly.

1. In Georgia, the “father” of a 7 year old girl (who gave birth to her before undergoing sex change surgery) is suing the Mcintosh County Public School System in an attempt to force his/her daughter’s school to allow her to use the boy’s bathroom. The father/mother claimed that his/her daughter had begun to identify as a boy at the age of eighteen months (!) and insisted that she be able to use the boy’s bathroom.
2. In California, it has been reported that the adoptive lesbian mothers of an 11 year-            old boy have put him on hormone therapy to block the onset of puberty with the goal of having him undergo sex-change surgery as soon as possible. His lesbian parents claim that he began to say that he was a girl when he was just three years-old, and they began to “transition” him into becoming a girl when he was only 8. Mental health officials have already determined this to be child abuse.
3. In Colorado, The mother of a 7 year old boy who likes to dress like a girl asked that he be allowed to join the local Girl Scouts. The mother’s request was initially turned down by the local troop leader but was quickly reversed by Girl Scout officials. Girl Scout officials proclaimed that if a child identifies as a girl and the child’s family presents him as a girl, then Colorado Girl Scouts welcomes him as a Girl Scout. Pandora’s Box is now officially open.

Nancy Pelosi is the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives and has always been, in my personal opinion, the dumbest nitwit I have ever seen in public office. Pelosi recently appeared as a guest on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. At one point during their conversation, Daily called out the former speaker Pelosi for the Democrats failure to even try to pass a federal budget when they had control of both houses.

Stewart: “This is where it’s difficult. When the Democrats were in charge, they had an opportunity to put forth a budget. And they didn’t take it. They didn’t take the shot...”

Pelosi: “That’s because the Republicans would have filibustered it.”

OMG. That is either the worst lie in political history or she lacks even a high school level understanding of government. FYI miss Pelosi….Budgets can’t be filibustered- they only require a simple majority in both the House and Senate and before the 2010 elections, the Democrats controlled both. Is this real life?

Okay….one more observation regarding the Occupussies. Success expert Steven Covey describes lack of responsibility and blame shifting as key habits for those who hobble themselves in life. OWSers have blamed Wall Street for their inability to find gainful employment. I watched one young man on TV rail against the oppressive conditions facing him and his comrades in their search for suitable employment. Let me offer this fella some advice; get rid of the giant pot leaf forehead tattoo, your lug bolt tongue piercing and take a bath so a sweaty skunk’s butt is not eclipsed by the stench emanating from your dreadlocks. Do you really want a fair chance little flower? Then stop with the pathetic, weed inspired diatribe and dig deep within your bong resin crusted psyche for an idea for goods and services that meet a consumer’s needs. The big risk here of course is that you might succeed and become a one percenter. Bummer.
